British Social Attitudes

Since 2001 the Trust has had some questions included in the annual British Social Attitudes survey, carried out by the National Centre for Social Research. These questions make it possible to identify respondents with certain categories of relatives alive, and so to analyse possible effects of these relationships.

In 2010 Hera published a new title ‘What Women Want: Evidence from British Social Attitudes’ which draws heavily from recent BSA findings and follows the changing place that work and family have for many women today.

‘What Women Want’ was launched in February 2010 at a series of seminars presented to the Centre for Policy Studies, and is available through Gardners Books or direct from this site.
